Union House Toys for Tots Fundraiser a Success
The Union House Pub & Pizza, located in the North Dam Mill, had a successful toy fundraiser over the weekend. Jack and Vassie Fowler, owners of Union House, started the event five years ago to help collect toys for the Toys For Tots charity. This year, their event collected a record number of toys. Vassie said over 175 guests attended the event, which helped them collect hundreds of toys and raise over $1,100 in cash and $150 in gift cards.
The charity event has been getting larger each year. This year they had a DJ, provided refreshments, and had a silent auction and a raffle. Vassie also said that there were 16 volunteers from the University of New England who helped out with the event.
Kudos to Union House for raising a record amount of toys this year. We can’t wait to see what they can accomplish next year!
