Two New Leases Continue Pepperell Center Growth

Last week was an exciting one for Southern Maine’s largest mixed-use development project. Two new leases were officially signed for the new Pepperell Center including Angelrox, a women’s clothing company, and a distillery.

Angelrox has leased 5,000 square feet of space on the right side of the Pepperell Center. The space will feature 12 floor to ceiling windows, exposed brick, and several architectural salvage items from around the mill. It is always exciting to see textile users come back to the buildings that thrived for so long in the textile industry.

The distillery will occupy 2,300 square feet next door to the Banded Horn Brewery. Aside from the production area there will be a tasting room for craft cocktail enthusiasts to sample the product from Biddeford’s first distillery.

These two leases keep us on track to fill the 68,000 square feet first floor of the Pepperell Center by the end of 2014. From there we will continue the development to the second floor of Pepperell Center. The explosive growth of the Pepperell Center is exciting not only for the Pepperell Mill Campus but also Biddeford’s downtown. With the main entrance to the center just steps from dozens of Main Street businesses, it is our hope that the center will join our Campus and the downtown together into one vibrant urban community.
