The Heartwood College of Art will be opening their doors for this Friday’s ArtWalk. They will be featuring a gallery show titled, “Elephant Mountain,” a collection of photographs by Berri Kramer and paintings by Susan Wilder. The show is a visual meditation of the B-52 plane crash on the side of Elephant Mountain in Greenville, Maine. This year is the 50th anniversary of the crash.
Wholly Crow Studios, a small textile company in collaboration with the surface Design program at Heartwood College of Art, will be also exhibiting and selling hand dyed, silkscreened tea towels that recently made a smashing debut at CraftBoston. Art supplies from “Art la Carte” will also be offered from the new studio.
This Friday’s ArtWalk will be one of the biggest yet, with 27 places to see arts and crafts throughout downtown Biddeford and Saco. As always, the North Dam Mill will be one of the stops along the ArtWalk, with plenty of open artist’s studios and galleries, and art and vendors on display in the hallways. Be sure to check it out!
