First ArtWalk of 2016: April 29th!
It’s time to kick-off the Biddeford+Saco ArtWalk 2016 season! The first ArtWalk is this Friday, April 29th. ArtWalks fall on the last Friday of every month until the last one in October!
ITALIA PHOTO @ Suite 18-216: A gallery featuring the work of Enrico Della Pietra. Della Pietra has exhibited his works in art festivals throughout the United States, a country which continues to offer inspiration for his art. Now, as a new resident to the Southern Maine area, his enduring fascination with the historic and dominant Biddeford Mill propelled him to launch his photography studio right within its walls. Della Pietra is anxious to engage with Mainers, who have been the source of much encouragement and motivation throughout the past decade.
FOUR CORNERS FRAME SHOP AND GALLERY @ Suite 18-203: Featuring iconographer Lyuba Ingerson. Lyuba is from the Ukraine but moved to United States in mid 90’s. An engineer by training, she has always loved arts and had a strong leaning to painting. For iconographers, every icon is a unique piece of personal artistic and spiritual expression within the framework of traditional orthodox iconography established at the height of Byzantine culture more than a thousand years ago. Lyuba was raised in culture of the celebrated early 15th century Russian master Andrei Rublev, whose asceticism has added a unique calm to his images and still provides inspiration to iconographers throughout the orthodox Christian world. Visit Lyuba’s website.
OUT OF THE ARK: Ceramic sculptures by Cheryl Lichwell. Visit her on Facebook.
THE ART CERTIFICATE PROGRAM @ Suite 17-225: Shape Up! A new exhibit by TACP participants.
